Matshwane Primary School
Matshwane Primary School is situated on the outskirts of Maun, a village bordering the world famous Okavango Delta, one of the world's greatest wildlife areas. It is a non-profit private English Medium primary School that was established in 1981, catering for all ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds and is an important feeder to secondary schools in Botswana and the region. At Matshwane we emphasize our linkage to the region's natural recources.
Matshwane is committed to producing responsible and informed citizens by providing quality education emphasising academic excellence, development of social and personal core values, and respect for the richness of the natural world.
Based primarily on Botswana's Primary School Carriculum, Matshwane also draws on complementary international curricula that help meet our broader objectives and ensure the highest international standard of achievement.
Matshwane's unique and diverse curriculum thus allows staff to focus on each individual child's needs and skills.
Matshwane also offers a unique Life Skills Programme: 'Bana Ba Isago' (lit. trans: 'Children of the Future') focusing on the three broad pillars of our mission: Life Skills, Environmental Education, and Community.
